AI is a vast and rapidly changing a topic. Just under a year ago the majority view was that AI was going to give birth to SkyNet and soon Arnold Schwarzenegger look-alikes would be knocking on your door. AI, like many technologies, offers great advantages. But AI is unlike other tools in that it can be so adeptly manipulated, at large scale, to drive behavior, create the semblance of large population sentiment and most recently, AI can act as a companion that syphons your most intimate sentiments to be used by the Big-Tech platforms.

All of this requires energy, lots of electricity at levels we are barely able to produce today, and this factor will become a large driver of our economic, academic and military policy. Regarding energy policy, some of the activity in Michigan that has proceeded the nation to institute renewable energy and the destruction of zoning rights is great predicter of where we are headed if we are not vigilant.
