Podcast Release: The New Raging Majority Part Two
Friday is Podcast Day and this upcoming Sunday Nights Radio theme has history and music in store
Each Friday we release an episode of our podcast in the Severed Conscience series. For those new to the term, Severed Conscience is the state of mind where your rational faculties have been hindered to the extent that you are reacting instead of responding to events around you. Social Media, with dopamine addiction and fluctuating stimuli of video, memes, timed with AI feeding you news that produces anger, can keep you in a state of mind where you remain online. It can leave you open to undue influence. Playing upon your fears, as we saw in the pandemic, is a major factor for corralling people into acting against their best interests.
Social media instills a sense of hierarchy, and as a consequence, there are figures presented to you who reputedly represent majority views. Digital tribes are formed, with new chieftains. A new raging majority to entertain you while no positive ends are achieved as a result of the expenditure of your energy.
Cultural Courage is our attempt to remind family, friends and colleagues that we have a history and foundation of wisdom that counters this collective control.

June 2024 Edition of Cultural Courage
We hope you have been enjoying our theme for June, which is a “School’s Out For Summer” concept. Like me, you may have kids returning from college for the summer, a first born ready to leave the nest because they’ve graduated, or your grade school crew home until fall.
With that in mind we developed our material with family and kids as the central focus. We even included a sample chapter from our recently published book Severed Conscience.
Next week we will have a companion article to the Our Children’s Lives, Online chapter called “The Risks of Sharenting”. Since our concern is that devices like the smart phones are stealing our attention from a rich life of experience, and with your kids home, now seemed a good time to talk about how your habits online may be affecting your kids.
We also have some fun things this month, and as you get to know us you’ll see that both O and I believe in just running the ball. No Safety Net, No Internet: Kingfisher Tower fits in that category. For DECADES I had dreamed of exploring a part of Otsego Lake architecture that is, well, off limits to the public. But damn it, I’m good at asking for forgiveness, while not good at all at begging for permission. This article includes video as well, you’ll really enjoy this one.
Sunday Nights Radio and Founders History
My partner Orange (she’s the O) does a great job of gathering interesting history of the Founding Fathers, and this month I was pleased to see that yet again, I had an opportunity to learn. Roger Sherman served on the Draft Committee of Five, along with Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, and Robert R. Livingston. The Committee was charged with “drafting” a proposal for independence that would be approved by the Continental Congress. What was produced, as we know, was not a draft, and while revised, it was a masterpiece.
This weekend’s edition of Sunday Nights Radio titled “Committee of Five, Marcuse and Fixing History”, is going to focus on Jefferson's initial ideas contrasted with what Congress approved. Marcuse stands in sharp contrast to the ideals of Jefferson, yet his theory of Identity Marxism has been the biggest factor on campuses that has turned our kids away from our rich heritage. Since your kids are at home for the summer, now is the time to make sure they understand the strength that comes from our past, and the gift our ancestors gave to us in the form of liberty.
