Scratching The Live Stream Itch and 5150

It's Been A While

I haven’t live streamed to Substack in a while, mostly due to schedule and time constraints. So I’m going to give it a go Wednesdays at 9 PM Eastern. At least for the summer and if things re-ignite as I hope. We’ll see. This installment is from last week, I’m sneaking it in under the May banner.

This episode included a transmission of Future Shock, the “documentary” based on Alvin Toliver’s book with Orson Welles adding a dramatic flair. I asked the question of whether things have really changed in 50 years, some of the demonstrations of new technology that will displace are as believable as the dancing robots are continually treated to. The formula is the same: shock, distill some limited information, give a warning, and impart an awe as well at how fast we are progressing. The Bro-ligarchs do the same thing.
