Incredibly insightful, I did not really delineate the fine lines of the personalities and belief systems of these men; This has made me re think what I thought I knew about the founding fathers . Jeffersons foresight was almost prophetic. To allow this degree of power in a branch of government via lifetime appointment and not have terms or elections is not a true Republic; The current deviation of the parties and the moral decline, the over reach of the Judiciary almost make the President superfluous . It is not like this was a surprised to anyone, this was the platform Trump ran on and we voted in. The Democrats had their plan B. Most of these judges are far left appointments made by Obama and Biden, Dual citizens or not born in America but naturalized and hate Christianity and what America stands for. Citizens have fewer rights, get less due process and are held to higher degrees punishment than illegal immigrants. The Implied Power phrase has also screwed us. This is a true crisis, not just for America, but for the Western World. Who would have thought that John Adams was the beginning of a fear based power hungry Democratic Party and that one labeled Slave Owner really had the liberty and freedoms of the people at the forefront of his belief system. I love to listen to these again when I have time, I always get more out of them. This is very freaky… so how do we find our way back? If it is up to the States then it has to be Article V; I do not believe in lifetime appointments for anyone nor do I believe the Judiciary should possess the power to dictate the actions of the President. It should be up to Congress. Basically we have 1 branch of Government This is not checks and balances, this is dictatorship

Jefferson is more of a puzzle the more I learn about him. The majority of his objections to the Constitution have sadly come true. His solution was to gather everyone every 19 years and renew the Constitution. I’m not sure that would work either. But I like the idea of getting rid of people periodically. Particularly the judges who are so holier than thou.

It would have been an answer to Article 5; what is happening is abuse and Article 5 has so many fail safes there is really no chance of a runaway convention; but, if he would have been able to pass it, that accountable alone to the States would have kept this Country closer to home. Of course he was seeing 13 and now we have 50; if we the people are to remind the Federal Government who they work for; I do think at least one Convention of States with a max of 3 amendments be presented; like Term Limits, Federal Judge elections and max # of SCOTUS and mandatory retirement age. SCOTUS can stay as appointments; but no other judiciary.
