Where does the mind wander, does it return to the same theme with a cast of characters based on your own experiences? Or perhaps a mashup, or altered fan fiction, where the plot takes a different twist?
Stretching the mind is very healthy, and entertaining. Some of what you will find here is written, some are the experiments originating in writing but the images realized when crafting these tales demanded a different medium with audio and visuals.
While this story bears my online identity, it is pure fiction. What if there were someone who roamed the country, helping people in trouble with big problems in remote places while searching for answers to their own existence, and that person is not quite human?
This tale was inspire by the Starfire Codes writing contest, and was selected as one of the winners for November 2024. It’s a great contest: you’re given phrases, crazy things that you’d never normally hear, and you work them into your writing.
