Suki and the Witches Lair

Something for Paid Subscribers: A Winter Hike Where the Mighty Humanzee Finds His Winter Thrown
This is the “Throne” that I discovered out at Seven Lakes, fitting for a Humanzee. I keep thinking of Aslan and Narnia when I see it.

This video is an extended version of what the audience of the latest Sunday Nights Radio episode viewed. I think I’ve said many times that if I can get to the ski slopes then a winter hike is my Walmart version of skiing. Per usual my dog and winter hiking companion Suki was with me.

Suki is my rescue dog. I recently Googled her name, and it was the name of a minor Kaiju character from the Godzilla series. Actually, I don’t know the origin of that name, she is a rescue whose registered name was Diamond, and that just didn’t seem to fit her. Suki popped into my head. My wife, a prankster of high merit, teased me when she first heard. “Oh, like Sookie Stackhouse from the HBO show with Vampire Bill. I didn’t know you like True Blood”. She still pronounces Suki as Sookie, rhyming with Cookie.

I hated that show True Blood, and left the room whenever my wife watched. She takes great pleasure in spinning the theory that secretly I liked the show and that’s why I picked the name I did. And imp that my wife is, she put “Sookie” on the dog license.
